Day 6 - Shabbat in Jerusalem!

Boca Raton... Dang it I meant boker tov. Today we were celebrating Shabbat. Thank Hashem they let us sleep in. But I slept on too much and still missed breakfast... Are you shocked yet?

So our guide, Shabbi, decided "Hey I have a great idea: let's walk in 100 degree weather and go to an outside museum." He was even smarter by wearing a sweater and jeans.

Once at the Israel museum in Jerusalem, we got to see a replica of the Old City.

We finally got to go inside (thank Hashem) to explore the Dead Sea scrolls. However, everyone just sat on the air vents on the floor because we were too hot. Typical Floridians.

We left the museum, and we were all excited to finally get back to the hotel and sit in air conditioning and go to the pool. But then Shabbi decided on another brilliant idea, "Let's go to the park".

So we're at the park and were put into discussion groups where we identified what 5 values would sustain a Jewish population. It was still hot outside.

We got to go back to the hotel to relax and then we had our picnic.

So we all expected that this picnic was going to be a variety of food, yet it was mostly hummus and pita. But it was still 🔥🔥. Then Rabbi had a Q and A with us on any questions we had. Remember on my earlier blogs that rabbi likes to ramble on, tonight was no exception.

Afterwords we went to benihannas, just kidding that's hibachi... I like Asian food. We went to Ben Yehuda street and got to shop and hang out on the #1 hotspot in Jerusalem. It's lit!

Loving your stories. My nephew, Henry Norris, is on the trip. Happy to know what you are all doing day by day. We vtoured a death camp in Germany. Can not imagine how it felt to visit the holocaust museum while in Israel.
